2013 Charity Event: A Return to the Three Peaks of Yorkshire

We’re doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks again

And this time I swear that I will not quit at all – let alone at Ribblehead pretty much half way through. I had coerced a number of colleagues to do the not as grueling Parbold Four Peaks but in all honesty we felt that this was not quite challenging enough after our last excursion – the Yorkshire Three Peaks – I seem to have hit a creative block there! But this is much more personal for me now, having quit at Ribblehead – because of a number of reasons – lack of fitness, inadequate clothing, crap weather and it has to be said a certain lack of commitment and preparation…well not this time!!! I aim to go to the gym at least four times per week, go for a walk up a serious hill at least once a fortnight and go for a long walk at least once per fortnight – alternating between the serious hill walks and the long walks, plus an end to the flapjacks – all this should hopefully permit me to lose about 20kg between now and May the 25th (oopps I forgot to mention until now when the event was!).

Once again we are doing it for charity but this time it’s for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital a most deserving cause. A Just Giving website has been setup and this time I do aim to make it a bit more involving. So, wish me/us luck and any donations will be greatly appreciated. Here’s the page where you can donate:

P.S. Yes I know it says Parbold 4 Peaks in the address, that was the old address and I don’t want to be a pain in the backside of Just Giving
